Start Here: a book review

9781601422705

You want to do hard things.
But you don’t know where to start.

You are changing the world around you.
But you are tired and burned out.
You feel called to do the extraordinary for God.
But you feel stuck in the ordinary.

Do Hard Things inspired thousands of young people around the world to make the most of the teen years. Now Alex and Brett Harris are back and ready to tackle the questions that Do Hard Things inspired: How do I get started? What do I do when I get discouraged? What’s the best way to inspire others? Filled with stories and insights from Alex, Brett, and other real-life rebelutionaries, Start Here is a powerful and practical guide to doing hard things, right where you are.

Start Here is a great source of inspiration for today’s teens.  Through the short stories in this book teens can get answers to the tough questions. They can also why they should strive to do the hard things by not submitting to peer pressure. Not only do I recommend this book to teens, but I would also encourage parents to read through it with them. You may just find that you have some things to learn about your faith!

I Heart Faces: Bundled Up

Our family goes on an annual ski excursion. Mr. Moo was 6 months old when we took him to the snow for the first time.  I don’t think he could have gotten any more bundled up. Believe me, if I could have climbed inside hubby’s jacket, I would have. Brrrr.

Sneak a Peak

This mama is feeling a bit under the weather. However, I will not let it stop me from introducing the “Little Peanut” to you.  I don’t know if that will be his official bloggy name, but for now I like it.  Here’s a sneak peak at Baby Boy McFadden!

We can not wait to see his precious little face.  We love you Little Peanut.
