Thursday evening we arrived in Sacramento at the Embassy Suites Riverfront Promenade to meet Hubby’s family. We hung out there for about a half hour and then headed across the street to Joes Crab Shack. The restaurant was amazingly fun. Loud music, dancing, and crab shell cracking were the main events of the evening.
My sister-in-law and soon-to-be husband looked like they were ready for the weekend to commence. What a way to kick off a wedding weekend. And kick it off they did!
The lovely couple discussing menu choices. If you have never been to a Joes Crab Shack then you probably don’t know that everything on the menu has some kind of crab, shrimp or fish in it. I ordered popcorn shrimp, it was yummy! Every 30 minutes or so they turn up the music very loud and the staff dance around the room. It’s pretty fun.
This guy was a very good dancer! He also was a very good announcer of shark attacks. Yes, you heard me correctly. Every time that someone ordered a Shark Bite (pictured below) someone would yell Shark Attack.
I have no idea what was in these drinks, but they came out looking like ocean water and then the grenadine was poured in them out of the shark. They were pretty awesome looking. I also couldn’t resist a photo of my brother-in-law’s sister’s margarita on the rocks.
Isn’t the glass awesome? My brother-in-law was so excited about cracking crab that he had to show me how he was going to achieve his goal of eating an entire crab by himself.
Anyway, it was a pretty fun evening. More wedding fun to come later. . .stay tuned for beautiful wedding photos coming soon.
