Praying for Stellan!

Please Pray
I just recently became a fan of McKMama over at mycharmingkids.net. Stellan has SVT and went into surgery for a Cardiac Ablation. He is very young for this surgery and under the ideal weight. Please keep him in your prayers today as our family is. My heart goes out to McKmama as I do not know what I would do if my little ones were ill. I admire her ability to put all of her trust in God and be peaceful in whatever happen s. My heart aches with sympethy for Stellan and his family. My prayers are with you little one!
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Easter Activities 2009

We did quite a few things for Easter this year. We attended an Easter Egg Hunt at a local school field sponsored by The Kiwanis on April 11.
After that we went to our local mini golf course and putted around because children were free and they were also having an Easter Egg Hunt. Both Mr. A and Mr. C got lots of eggs. It was fun!

I finally got around to getting these photos off of the camera yesterday. We have been running around doing as many activities as we can for the past week. It's been great. I love watching Mr. A interact with other children and experience all of life's wonders. I won't be blogging or answering e-mail for a week or so because I will be in Jackson California with the family. Hubby has training with Cal-Fire for the week so we are packing up the kidletts and going with him.

Happy trails to you, until we meet again. . . .

Look who's turning one!

On April 11 2008 a beautiful baby boy was born. His name (bloggy name at least) was Mr. C. His mommy and daddy were very excited to meet him! He was born 7'2 oz at Ukiah Valley Medical Center. That sweet little baby boy is turning one in 4 days. Here's the story of his first year in photos!

It's only been a day since he was brand new hasn't it? I seems like time has passed by so quickly. In the blink of an eye our children are grown. It was just yesterday that I could hold him in my arms and he would squirm away. It was just a week ago that he took his first bite of baby food. It was just a month ago that he said his first word "mama." Just a while ago that he sat up unassisted. Just yesterday that he rolled over. Just a few minutes ago that he pulled himself accross the floor commando style. a few hours ago that he learned to crawl. . .wasn't it? Wow how time goes so fast. In the blink of an eye our children grow up. . . .
Here's a few photos of the little man at the park with his brother just two days ago.
Happy Birthday Mr. C!

I Heart Faces: Me and My Friend

This is a picture of Mr. A and Mr. C brothers but also the best of friends. We went to the park this afternoon and I couldn't resist a little posing. They had lots of fun together playing on the slides and in the wood chips. It's so nice to have a 4 year old who is so in love with his younger sibling. I am a very blessed mommy! Head over to I Heart Faces to see all the other cute friendly photos.
My adult entry isn't the best photo quality, but I think it brings out the relationship between mother and daughter very well. My mother and grandmother are pictured here having a very good conversation, they are the best of friends as I hope that my children will be with me when they are adults.

Scenic Sunday: God's Masterpiece

"Sometimes we are so busy with everyday life that we forget to appreciate the beauty that God has placed before us. Scenic Sundays are about stopping and smelling the roses. And while you're smelling those roses, take a picture so that others can share in your appreciation for the beauty of His creation. So pretty please come join us for Scenic Sundays. Maybe we'll see things in a different light. "
Head over to Pieces of Miti and join in on Scenic Sundays and remember how blessed we are by God's Creations!

Our family is blessed to live in a beautiful place. This photo was taken while my husband and I were staying at The Heritage House the night of our Wedding. It was taken while sitting on the balcony. We live in Fort Bragg California on the Mendocino Coast. At any given time I can drive down Hwy 1 and see beautiful seascapes. God really is Good isn't he? I also would like to share this poem with you all, it touched my heart as I read it this morning. It is so true, and it goes perfectly with this photo! I also thought I would enter Spiritual Sundays/ this week.

Jesus, Captain of Life’s Sea

I have a friend in Jesus

Who guides me through the gale

A first mate and a skipper

Who helps me to set sail.

He offers strength and guidance

A helmsman at the wheel

An ever-steady beam of light

A fortress made of steel

He’s the master of the ocean

My refuge and my rock

A harbor that I turn to

My anchor at life’s dock.

He’s a mighty sailing warrior

A helping hand indeed

A pilot through the churning waves

He meets my every need.

He’s the One I always run to

When the waves won’t let me be

The lighthouse that I turn to

On a rough and troubled sea.

He’s a smoothly sailing vessel

A refuge from the storm

The gentle breeze that sends me to

An island, sweet and warm.

He’s a brave and fearless skipper

A shelter from the heat

Water when I’m thirsty

A vessel filled with wheat.

He’s a sure and steady sailor

My Captain on life’s sea

No matter where I journey

He goes along with me.

Brilliant Craftsmanship. . .

. . .Or should I say Brilliant baby? Hubby has been working very hard at constructing some beautiful picnic tables to sell at The Posh Pauper. Today he got started on making the legs for the tables and benches that will go with them. He has the table tops fully constructed. He is making a round one that will be gorgeous when it is finished. I am tempted to keep it for my deck, but I think it would be more profitable to sell it. Here are a few pictures of his progress.

Mr. C decided that he would help today too! Brilliant Baby Craftsmanship! Introducing the future of McFadden Furniture. . .

It was a beautiufl day outside today. We spent almost the entire day in our backyard. Mr. C played on the deck discovering all sorts of new things. We also took a walk to the Tressel at Pudding Creek. Just a great day all around.

It may be too good to be true, but I do believe Spring has sprung! :0)

Happy Saturday everyone!
