Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear. ~Ambrose Redmoon
September 11, 2001 was a scary and sad day for The United States. Courageous men and women ran into buildings without delay. They gave their lives for people they didn’t even know. The United States of America should be proud to be home to selfless, loving, human beings. While most people sat at home and watched on TV, some gave all. While most peopled prayed to God for answers, some gave all. When most were staring in shock, some gave all. When most were running out, some were running in, Some Gave All.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
Even though the men and women we call Firefighters didn’t know who they were going in to save, they gave all. They unselfishly and sacrificially ran into two towers that they were destined to remain in. They gave all without a second thought. The showed great love.
I said I wasn’t going to bore you with a bunch of photos from our local water fights. However, I think it would be nice to pay tribute to them today. I think they deserve it.
Please take a moment on this day to thank a Firefighter, EMT, Paramedic, or Police Officer. Please take the time to remember the day that some gave all.
Even though I don’t know if any of these firefighters were there that day, I believe that if they were, they would have shown as much love and sacrifice.
They would not have thought twice.
They would have done it with honor.
Remember 9/11, thank the men and women who protect us today. Remember the Some that Gave All.
