I am blessed with the absence of Breast Cancer in my life. None of my friends or family have this awful disease. I really considered not entering this week, however I think it is appropriate to stand up and support those of you who have or know some one who has Breast Cancer. Your road is long and hard, though you still teary on.
My reason for entering this photo this week is two fold. First because my mom is wearing a very bright pink sweatshirt. Secondly because she suffers with Chronic Pancreatitis as well as having benign tumors on her liver. She has never been a drinker and the doctors can not explain her condition. She is one of the strongest women I know. I admire her strength and devotion to our Creator. She has endured 35 surgeries in her lifetime and although she has not endured Breast Cancer like some of you, she knows what is like to hurt, she knows the struggle that you have with wondering Why Me.
Jesus Said: Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Mathew 11:28-30
So on behalf of my mom I will enter this challenge this week. This may not be the best photo I ever shot, but I love it because she celebrated her 50th birthday this year. The joy in this photo shakes me to the core.
Please join me this week in celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness. Head on over the I Heart Faces and entering this challenge. Spread the word!
